Gaylon is the founding partner of Thomasson Global Consultants who has headed international law enforcement and intelligence training initiatives worldwide. Gaylon’s experience in both course development and delivery ensures that the quality of instruction and TGC instructors is unmatched.
Gaylon is a former federal agent with more than 24 years of senior leadership experience. Gaylon began his career in 1987 with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Spokane, Washington. Over the course of his career, he directed and supervised complex domestic and international investigations involving narcotics trafficking and money laundering. The targets of these investigations were highly sophisticated and compartmentalized criminal organizations.
Gaylon is qualified in federal and state court as an expert witness in the areas of drug trafficking, clandestine labs and criminal investigations.
Gaylon served in a variety of assignments as a field agent and supervisor. He served as Resident Agent in Charge of the Tacoma Resident Office and later under the Deputy Administrator at DEA Headquarters in the Executive Policy/Strategic Planning Unit. Gaylon’s last assignment was as Section Chief of the Tactical Operations Unit at the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC). At EPIC he directed a group of agents and analysts representing a multitude of federal, state and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies in several classified DEA programs. This unit provided real-time tactical intelligence and counter-intelligence information to officers and agents working along both sides of the Southwest border.
